Donetsk Region Volunteer 2025: Award for CO “CF “DOBROBUD 2022”

Donetsk Region Volunteer 2025: Award for CO “CF “DOBROBUD 2022”

At “Donetsk Region 2025: A Look into the Future” forum held in Kyiv on November 28, regional authorities recognized more than 59 organisations and two volunteers who support both military and civilian residents in Donetsk region. Among the honoured initiatives were those providing aid to defenders, strengthening the medical system, advancing education, supporting youth, and organising the evacuation of people from frontline communities.

CO “CF “DOBROBUD 2022” was included among the organisations in the “Warmth of Hearts” category — associations that assist with evacuations and offer support to people seeking safer places. For our team, this recognition is a symbol of trust and proof that the joint efforts of volunteers and partners truly make a difference in the lives of people from the frontline areas of Donetsk region.

CO “CF “DOBROBUD 2022” received a special award as “Volunteer of Donetsk Region 2025” for active civic engagement, volunteer work, and organising charitable assistance for residents of Donetsk region under martial law.

This award recognizes the daily work of our organisation team, volunteers, and partners who help people restore homes, regain basic comforts, and feel safe in frontline communities.

We sincerely thank everyone who supports our organisation’s projects and will continue working so that even more families can return home.

Manual Water Pumps for Frontline Communities: DOBROBUD Brings Clean Water Home

Manual Water Pumps for Frontline Communities: DOBROBUD Brings Clean Water Home

In frontline communities of eastern Ukraine, access to clean water became a matter of survival. Charitable Foundation “DOBROBUD 2022”, together with ACTED Ukraine and with financial support from the US Government, launched a project to install 51 manual water pumps on boreholes, serving 15,000 people across three communities. Technical details and project map available in our PDF presentation.

Project in numbers

Goal: Provide reliable water access for residents staying home or planning to return after deoccupation.

Scope:

  • 36 pumps in Lyman Community (Sep 2024–Jan 2025)

  • 15 pumps in Sloviansk & Kramatorsk Communities (Aug–Nov 2025)

Current results (end of 2025):

  • Lyman: 18+6+3+3+3 pumps across 5 settlements

  • Sloviansk Community: 9 pumps

  • Kramatorsk Community: 6 pumps

Why it works

Cost-effective — eliminates expensive water trucking
Sustainable — manual pumps work without electricity or fuel

Charitable Foundation „Dobrobud 2022“ was established in 2022 in the city of Synelnykove, when the war forced thousands of people to seek new homes.

We started by converting an administrative building into a safe temporary shelter for internally displaced persons, where dozens of families found refuge. Over time, the foundation’s activities expanded — we began implementing projects to restore housing, provide humanitarian aid, install water supply systems, and develop children’s and social spaces.

Today, Charitable Foundation „Dobrobud 2022“ is a team of professionals and volunteers working to restore, integrate, and support vulnerable populations. We believe that goodness multiplied by action can rebuild Ukraine.
