About the project

As part of the ‘Ventilation Systems’ project, the team at the ‘Dobrobud 2022’ Charitable Foundation, together with its partners, is modernising ventilation systems in social care facilities and temporary accommodation centres for internally displaced persons (IDPs). This includes the installation of new ventilation units, the fitting of air ducts, and the technical adaptation of the premises for long-term habitation.

As part of the “64 FIX – Technical and material support to local organisations and volunteer groups in Ukraine” project, nine temporary accommodation centres for IDPs in the Dnipropetrovsk region were renovated, making them warm, safe and liveable. Modern ventilation systems have become an important part of this transformation.

What we do

• We install modern ventilation systems in bedrooms, kitchens and communal areas of social care facilities and accommodation centres for internally displaced persons;

• We design and install air ducts, taking into account the specific features of the building and the number of residents;

• we carry out technical audits of existing heating and ventilation systems and propose solutions to improve safety and comfort;

• we replace windows, insulate premises and repair heating systems to ensure that ventilation operates effectively in conjunction with other building services;

• we train staff on the basic rules for operating and maintaining the installed systems to ensure the project’s results are long-lasting
